Industrial Collaboration

Industrial collaboration is an important part of my research program. I believe working closely with experts in industry yields high-impact results that provide a strong return on investment for your organization and advance the state of the art. Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Victoria, I was VP Engineering at Critical Systems Labs Inc. where I worked on projects with more than 30 organizations (companies, governments, associations, research institutes): I understand role of innovation and research within the context of large organizations and institutions.

Research Collaboration

There are a number of ways to collaborate on research projects, including direct research contracts and grant funding from agencies such as NSERC, Mitacs, and CFI. Please contact me and we can discuss the best model for a research engagement.

Consulting

I can be engaged as a consultant through Critical Systems Labs Inc. on a range of topics, including safety/assurance case management and assessment, standards compliance (ISO 26262, ISO 21448, UL 4600, ISO/PAS 8800, EN 5012x, etc.), safety analysis and risk assessment, system design, and verification/validation.
